For almost 2 decades Bano has been a student of (islamic) knowledge studying with teachers such as Habib Umar bin Hafiz, Habib Kadhim as-Saqqaf, Hababa Mona al Kaf, Hababa Nur, Shaykh Hamza Yusuf, Imam Zaid Shakir, Shaykh Ibrahim Osi Efa and Ustada Nagheba Hayal.
After 3 years studying Arabic with the Fajr Institute based in Egypt, Bano travelled to Tarim, Yemen in 2022, where she continued her studies in the Life of the Prophet ﷺ (Seerah), Islamic Law (Fiqh), Purification (Tazkiyah) and other Islamic Subjects.
Bano’s primary passion remains the biography of the Prophet ﷺ which she has studied and taught for almost 20 years.

Professionally trained, with a solid foundation in the traditional Islamic sciences and the secular political and social sciences, Bano is a vibrant and dynamic speaker; able to address a wide variety of subject matters.
That said, her passion remains helping secular, and faith based audiences, get to know all aspects of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
